Weinberg/Newton Gallery is closed on all major holidays and between exhibitions for installation. Please check our schedule of exhibitions prior to your visit. Our entrance is accessible.
We are within 5 minutes walking distance of the CTA Blue Line Chicago stop and the #56 Milwaukee Avenue bus at Erie Street. Street parking is available first come, first served. Spoke Parking Garage, located at 728 N Morgan Street, is one block away from the gallery.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the health of our guests and employees is our highest priority. Weinberg/Newton Gallery has implemented increased safety precautions in accordance with the CDC and city of Chicago.
Masks
Masks are optional during regular gallery visits. Events may carry different policies. Please refer to the event's registration page for specifications.
Self-monitoring
All guests are expected to self-monitor for symptoms and stay home if they have potentially been exposed to COVID-19 or have had any symptoms.
Guests who do not comply with these regulations will be asked to leave the building.
Common surfaces throughout the gallery continue to be regularly sanitized. All gallery staff are fully vaccinated.
Weinberg/Newton Gallery is accessible from sidewalk level via a ramped entryway. Two gender neutral, wheelchair-accessible restrooms are available.

Weinberg/Newton Gallery offers free in person and virtual guided exhibition tours and hands-on art making experiences for groups of all ages. Group visits are highly interactive, and promote closer looking, critical thinking, inquiry, and group conversation.
K-12 Grade Groups
Weinberg/Newton Gallery offers free guided exhibition tours and hands-on art making experiences designed to complement the current exhibition on view.
In the gallery, students will go on an interactive tour that promotes inquiry, critical thinking, dialogue, and closer looking. In the studio, students will experiment with materials to create their own work of art inspired by the themes explored in the exhibition.
Guided tours and workshops last approximately two hours and are by appointment only. Participants will receive an introduction to the gallery, tour, and art making activity.
College + Adult Groups
Weinberg/Newton Gallery offers free guided exhibition tours of the current exhibition on view. Our guided tours use an interactive approach to learning to provide social and cultural contexts for understanding art and engaging with social justice issues. We will focus on a selection of works to promote group conversation, critical thinking, and closer looking.
Guided tours last approximately one hour and are by appointment only.
Self-Guided Group Visits
You may bring a group of 10 or less for a Self-Guided Visit. We require all Self-Guided Visits to be scheduled a minimum of two weeks in advance of the date requested.
Group visits are by appointment only. Special arrangements can be made for appointments outside of our regular gallery hours.
